This arrangement offers Queensland Councils and approved purchasers for commercial buildings and associated works a streamlined procurement process, rather than an open tender for engagement of any value - resulting in significant savings.

Examples of works include sporting, healthcare, offices, depots, churches, schools and universities, to name a few.

Supplier details are available on VendorPanel including company description, RPEQ qualifications, Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurances.

The arrangement provides a streamlined procurement process, allowing purchasers to obtain competitive pricing from competent, reliable suppliers through a select Request for Quote rather than an open tender for engagement of any value, resulting in significant time and cost savings.

Suppliers with Austroads PQC are designated as Tier 1 suppliers for road construction, whilst suppliers with TMR asphalt certification are designated Tier 1 for road resurfacing.

The landfill categories includes biogas extraction, flaring and power generation.

Marine and river civil works includes piling, dredging, revetment walls, jetties, boat ramps and similar Infrastructure requirements.

Whilst roadwork is the primary focus, landfill and marine/river works are also included. Queensland and Northern Territory Councils, and other approved purchasers, have access to Local Buy’s construction contract suite, including Minor, Medium and Major Works contracts.

Associated products are also included for each category including (for example) adaptors, mounting kits, Couplers, joints, gaskets and bushings.

Purchasers seeking construction and maintenance services should use LB314 Water, Sewerage and Stormwater Infrastructure Arrangement.

The Water and Sewerage Treatment and Pumping category is extensive and includes (for example) dams, weirs, treatment plants and pumping stations and associated equipment including control, telemetry and dosing.

Pipeline services are a focus with categories for installation (including trenchless), inspection, relining and rehabilitation.

Bore construction and maintenance is included as a separate category.
