The Local Buy Advancing Queensland Procurement Conference has concluded and what a triumphant event it was! After a 5-year hiatus, it was amazing to see a broad range of procurement professionals from Queensland Councils, State Government Entities and Government Owned Corporations come together for two full days of professional development and networking.
Our two keynote speakers, Anthony Laye and Stephen Bradbury captivated the audience with their masterful storytelling and Anthony’s mind-blowing mind-reading!
With a full agenda covering various procurement topics and plenty of time for networking, we were delighted that almost 100 delegates chose to join us. Events such as this would not be possible without the continued support of our Suppliers and 23 of them were able to exhibit their products and services and connect with councils. The delegates' and suppliers' enthusiasm and engagement signal a strong commitment to advancing procurement practices, supporting local businesses and fostering innovation to benefit Queensland communities.
We eagerly anticipate the next opportunity to come together and continue advancing Queensland procurement. Keep your eye out for details about our upcoming Fleet Forum scheduled on Thursday 31 October in Townsville.
