Our first Procurement Summit was a resounding success

On Tuesday 28 March, Local Buy delivered our inaugural Regional Procurement Summit in Port Douglas. Supported by our co-hosts, Douglas Shire Council, the event brought together 36 delegates from 14 councils to network and collaborate while hearing insightful and informative presentations from industry experts and procurement leaders. Our 14 excellent presenters covered a wide array of topics from contract management, probity, social and sustainable procurement to how the 2032 Brisbane Olympic games can benefit FNQ and an update from industry regarding current supply chain considerations.
Feedback for the event was overwhelmingly positive, with 100% of respondents surveyed at the conclusion of the event indicating they had felt there was value to the summit sessions and 96% of respondents advising they would attend another summit.
