Local Buy helps council procurement meet legislative, reputation and compliance needs, simplifying the process by connecting councils to pre-qualified local Queensland suppliers, big and small. This saves time and money and reduces councils’ need to tender, advertise and prepare contracts.

One of the ways we achieve this is through our Arrangements, which open every February, May, August, and November at 12:00 AM on the first of the month and close at 2:00 PM on the last day of the month.

July Highlights

NOW EXTENDED TILL 31 AUGUST 2023 AT 2PM

Open from 15th July to 31 August 2023 at 2pm

• RENEWAL - Trucks, Buses, Specialised Trucks, Bodies & Trailers NPN1.23
  • Replaces Trucks (Cab Chassis) - NPN04.13 and Specialised Trucks: NPN1.15-2 you will need to apply if you’re on the current contract.

Open for Tender in August

Open from 1st August to 31st  August 2pm

• RENEWAL - Planning, Surveying, Design & Architecture (LB335) 
  • Replaces Planning, Surveying, Design & Architecture BUS265, you will need to apply if you’re on the current contract

Replacement Arrangements in Development

Please note the below contracts will be expiring and you will need to reapply when the new contract goes to market.

Two contracts replacing Road, Water, Sewerage & Civil Works (BUS270)

• RENEWAL - Roads, Bridges & General Civil Construction & Maintenance (LB313)
• RENEWAL -Water, Sewerage & Marine Infrastructure Construction & Maintenance (LB314)

Replaces Water and Sewerage Products (LB283) 

• RENEWAL -Culverts, Pipes, Pumps, Valves & Meters (LB316)

Extensions 

Extensions are applied to current contracts when their initial contract term is close to expiring. All current suppliers do not need to re-apply when there is an extension. New suppliers are able to continue to apply to the arrangements.

No extensions for July

PLEASE NOTE: 

If you are an existing supplier you are NOT required to re-apply each time tenders open unless you would like to be appointed to a new Arrangement, or a new category within an Arrangement to which you are currently appointed. 

Our ‘Active Arrangements’ open every February, May, August, and November at 12:00 AM on the first of the month and close at 2:00 PM on the last day of the month.
