Local Buy Technology launches ESG Supplier Intelligence powered by givvable
Local Buy is excited to introduce new Supplier Intelligence badging in Local Buy’s VendorPanel Go-To-Market enterprise.
When using Local Buy pre-qualified Arrangements in VendorPanel, you will now be able to access six new ESG Supplier Intelligence badging against Local Buy lists, powered by givvable.
What is ESG Supplier Intelligence badging?
ESG Supplier Intelligence refers to the process of assessing and monitoring the Environmental, Social and Governance performance of suppliers. This process is essential for organisations aiming to ensure that their procurement practices are sustainable, ethical, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Supplier Intelligence empowers organisations to identify and engage with suppliers that meet specific ESG requirements through the VendorPanel Go to Market module. This is achieved through the display of six icons linked to verified ESG data.
Real-time supplier data enables better decision making at the point of purchasing goods or services, driving positive sustainability and economic outcomes for organisations, in line with specific business objectives or targets.
Who is givvable?
givvable is a multi award-winning Australian supplier sustainability platform. givvable’s platform leverages powerful AI and data models to automate supplier sustainability diligence and process the categorisation of over 5 million supplier credentials from over 2,500 data sources. Supplier Intelligence badging powered by givvable enables VendorPanel to provide buyers with more insight into supplier performance in relation to ESG.
We have created an FAQ document to help you learn more about the givvable offering. The FAQ document details the specific data sources for Indigenous, social enterprise and environmental credentials, changes to existing badging and defines each of the six ESG themes.
When will these changes come into effect?
givvable badges will be released to all Local Buy enterprise users on Monday the 7th October 2024. This is to coincide with the King’s Birthday public holiday in Queensland to avoid any platform disruptions.
Local Buy is very excited to release this exciting new offering, which will help to enhance ESG procurement targets and drive positive sustainable and economic outcomes for Local Government organisations, State Government entities, and Not For Profit enterprise buyers.
