Engagement Update - September 2024

As we head into conference season in earnest, the Engagement Team look forward to meeting our Council clients and suppliers at an event near you soon. 

Between 21st and 24th October we will be joining our Local Government Association of Queensland Association (LGAQ) family at the Annual LGAQ Conference, which is taking place in Brisbane this year. Various Local Buy staff will be in attendance including General Manager, Mike Waterland, Head of Engagement, Emma Peters, Senior Engagement Manager, Jeremy Walker and more! 

On 31st October, the team will be hosting the Fleet Managers Forum in Townsville. A one-day Forum designed specifically for our Fleet Clients, we have a great line up of speakers and some interactive workshops on the agenda. 

The Institute of Professional Works Engineers Conference has been a constant on our Agenda for many years and we are delighted to be exhibiting at this conference again. Taking place in Brisbane between 6th and 8th November, Jeremy Walker, Liz McFarlan and our Category Manager for all things Engineering/Works, Debbie Spann will be in attendance. 

Whilst the Southern Team are engaged at IPWEA, Emma will be flying off to the Northern Territory to take part in the Local Government Association of Northern Territory Conference in Alice Springs. 

Not to be outdone, Audrey Dobell who manages our Cape based Council will be heading up to Weipa, Napranum and Mapoon to talk about the new Construction & Civil Arrangements before the wet season begins.
