The Local Government Finance Professionals Conference on the Gold Coast marked the culmination of our team's busy year. Attending these conferences has allowed us to strengthen our relationships with Elected Members, Councillors, CEOs, and Senior Council Staff across various divisions. From the IPWEA Conference to Indigenous Leaders, our Engagement Team has represented Local Buy across the state and beyond!

We were thrilled to host nearly 100 delegates from councils far and wide at the Local Buy Advancing Queensland Procurement Conference in Brisbane in August. Additionally, we held a Summit in Cairns and a Fleet Managers Forum in Brisbane.

Our monthly Local Buy Training and VendorPanel Demonstrations have been extremely popular, prompting us to schedule them throughout 2025.

We are now in planning mode for the next calendar year, with exciting events on the horizon, including the FNQ Procurement Summit, a Fleet Managers Forum in SEQ, and a Procurement Summit on the Central Coast later in the year.

Online content delivery has resonated well with our purchasers, and we will be running category-specific webinars in ICT and Construction. All our events are published on the Local Buy website events page.

Our aim for 2024 was to enhance education on how Local Buy can streamline procurement in Local Government and other entities using our arrangements. As the Head of Engagement, I believe we have achieved this goal. However, with high staff attrition rates in our sector, this goal is ongoing. We will continue to provide training and practical support to our clients and look forward to working with you in 2025.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to collaborating with you in the future.
