How Local Buy connected Hidrive with Townsville City Council
In my role as a Mobile Workspace Specialist based at Hidrive’s Brisbane office, I have the privilege of supporting customers all across Queensland. Thanks to Local Buy, we have long-term relationships with councils across the state.
That includes Townsville City Council. When their fleet manager called me six months ago to ask if we offered electrical, mechanical and plumbing service bodie/8s because they wanted to expand their fleet, it was a resounding yes!
I jumped into our demo truck and hit the Bruce Highway for the 15-hour drive to Townsville. Fortunately, Hidrive also has a demo ute in FNQ so I was able to show the council team a range of great truck and ute canopy configurations and accessory options. Together, we designed fit-for-purpose solutions they are thrilled with.
Our Local Buy accreditation has been key in making Townsville City Council one of our largest council fleet customers. Today, they have 14 Hidrive ute and truck service bodies in their fleet, with more on the way.
