The Month That Was

November saw the release of the last round of Local Buy Arrangements for 2024. While this round had only 10 Arrangements open for tender we still received 111 applicants, with our Road and General Infrastructure Arrangement taking out top position with 33 applications.

The procurement support team have also been hard at work closing out any outstanding activations from the August round. While there are only a handful of these activations left, we would like to thank everyone for their patience during this period.

Moving into late November and early December, the team here at Local Buy are entering the evaluation phase of the cycle. The team of dedicated internal and external evaluators will spend the coming weeks evaluating each submission. As the leading body in local government procurement, Local Buy exemplifies probity and transparency.

 Looking to 2025

February 2025 will see the return of the full complement of Local Buy Arrangements open for tender. Planning is underway for this round, with some exciting additions to the Local Buy suite of Arrangements.

We would like to thank all suppliers, councils and approved purchasing organisations for their continued support of our Arrangements and we look forward to continuing to advance Queensland procurement together.
