A New Year often brings with it new beginnings. This sentiment rings especially true at Local Buy, where the diligent efforts made at the end of 2024 have allowed the Contract Administration team to begin 2025 with a fresh start and a clean slate.

The Contract Administration team worked tirelessly to ensure that the final round of refreshed Arrangement tenders in November were closed out before the business closed for a well-deserved Christmas break. This meant that all tender submissions for the 10 Arrangements were evaluated, and relevant reports completed in under a month!

From the November 2204 arrangements round, 111 suppliers applied, with 95 suppliers awarded successful in their applications.  Of these 95 suppliers, 53 are already active on VendorPanel as suppliers of other categories, and accessible to purchasers to engage.

Having these tenders closed out prior to the festive season break meant that the Local Buy team started 2025 ready and rearing to tackle the February arrangements round of tenders.

The February tender round kicked off on the 1st, comprising one NEW Quarries arrangement and 40 Arrangement refreshes.

Already we’ve had over 2,000 suppliers view tenders in the system, showing the popularity of the arrangements amongst prospective suppliers.

Over the coming weeks, the administration team will continue working in tandem with our Category Managers to assist suppliers with any queries about tender applications.

In these instances, customer service blends with probity and transparency, with the Administration team and Category Managers ensuring that the support given during the tender applications is equitable and transparent.

We look forward to working with all our suppliers and purchasers over 2025 and are excited to continue to advance Queensland procurement together.
