Open Spaces, Parks & Playgrounds: A new Local Buy contract

Local Buy will release a tender for a new Open Spaces, Parks and Playgrounds arrangement in May 2018. 

This Local Buy arrangement provides a huge range of products and services including sport & fitness, landscaping & gardening, street & park furniture, outdoor lighting, outdoor structures, pathways & fencing, signage, playground equipment, public facilities & amenities, softfall surfaces.

The current BUS244 Open Spaces arrangement has 80 appointed suppliers and was used by 96 separate purchasing organisations in 2017, to deliver more than $22M worth of work.  It was heavily used by Queensland councils to deliver their Works for Queensland projects. 

Councils are encouraged to notify their local suppliers of the tender, which will be advertised online at LG Tenderbox and in major Queensland newspapers.
