3 Councils in 3 Days

Local Buy’s Category Manager for ICT, Lance Davies recently undertook a road trip through Central Queensland with his fellow colleagues; Regional Client Relationship Manager Emma Peters and Category Manager for Works, Pat McCormack.

As the newest member of the Category Management team, the trip was a great chance for Lance to form and strengthen new relationships with council stakeholders.  Face to face meetings with council gives Local Buy the opportunity to gain feedback on the spend on the offered categories and discuss contracts that are expiring and up for renewal.

Councils visited on the trip included; Mackay Regional Council, Isaac Regional Council and Whitsunday Regional Council.

Fruitful discussions were held with representatives from the Procurement, Park and Road, ICT and Major Infrastructures Teams, learning more about what opportunities they had coming up and how Local Buy could assist them with their procurement needs.
