Local Buy Partners with the Queensland Public Library Association (QPLA)
The Local Buy Library Resources BUS255-0116 contract provides purchasers with easy access to a diverse range of goods and services to assist them in managing their individual requirements. By utlising a Local Buy contract, the purchasers are provided with an a cost-effective and streamlined procurement process.
Since 2006, Local Buy has worked collaboratively with the QPLA to provide a comprehensive and value – adding procurement service to the Local Governments of Queensland and Northern Territory.
Each year, Local Buy assigns a percentage of the management fees reported from sales by the panel suppliers, back to the association. These fees are a result of councils continuing to purchase their library supplies under this arrangement.
The rebate enables the QPLA Committee to contribute to activities supporting Queensland Public Libraries, such as the Professional Development Conferences and Seminars.
