A new Local Buy team member – Glen Duff

The Local Buy Nex Gen Procurement ecosystem has been developed to give local government the most effective procurement systems and processes as well as data to support their communities better in a changing technology landscape. Seventeen Queensland councils have already joined Nex Gen and this number is set to grow rapidly, so we want to ensure we have the right people in place to continue the program’s rollout across the local government sector. 

In support of that, I am pleased to announce that Glen Duff will be joining the Local Buy Nex Gen team as Senior Manager, Nex Gen Procurement and Partnerships. Many of you will know Glen from his current role at VendorPanel, a key partner in Nex Gen, where he is Senior Commercial Manager, QLD & NT. Glen brings a wealth of experience in relation to both the VendorPanel platform and council procurement and has been closely involved in the Nex Gen journey.  Both ourselves and VendorPanel see Glen’s continued involvement as tremendously positive for the development of the Nex Gen initiative.. Glen will join Local Buy on 22 February 2021. 

With the appointment of Glen, Local Buy CEO Peter Mifsud said: “Local Buy has been seeking out procurement partners who can assist us in building a Procurement Ecosystem that is best-in-class and valuable to council, suppliers and the communities they operate in.
